After shooting an assignment on Capitol Hill this week, I headed over to Union Station to take the VRE home and ran into this great exhibit of children’s artwork: All Kids Can CREATE. I was completely floored. There was a simplistic beauty to all of the work that just made me stop and breathe and enjoy as everyone around me rushed for their trains. It was wonderful. An older man, who was also taken aback by the work, looked at me and said “This is incredible!” And he was right.
So to all of the 102 students whose work is represented in this exhibit:
Keep drawing, keep painting, keep sculpting, keep building, keep creating.
The world needs you.
And thank you. You made my day.
And, to David from Skowhegan, Maine: Nice job! I was so excited to see my hometown represented!
If you can’t make it to Union Station, go to the website and view the artwork. It may inspire to you to create something yourself.
